Update on all things...

Just catching up on postings, photo's and news... the last few weeks have not been very productive, so a little bit of this and that.

First off is the lovely journal given to me by Deb, just love the fabric she chose to make the cover in. Thank you again Deb xx

Next is a photo progress of my hands (please scroll down fast to skip the pictures if you get a little squirmish).

Pink-tinged hands are day 2, stitches healing is day before stitches removed, and third photo is today - great progress (thanks to taking arnica tablets and using lots of emu balm and emu lotion... the stitching on the left hand was done by the registrar (brilliant job and no problems) - the right hand was done by student being overseen by surgeon (crappy stitching and troubles with healing and scar tissue)... though as you can see by today's photo both wounds are looking great :)

Then Halloween was somewhere amongst the midst of the past few weeks, here's Beck's and her friend Tessa ready to descend upon the neighbourhood...

Here is a beautiful sunset we had last week - the moon was gorgeous - sorry for the quality of the pic - though trust me - it was beautiful...
I got Beck's to lift up my sewing machine back onto the sewing table (in reality our dining room table), look at the state of my table - total chaos... did a tiny bit of mending on the machine on Saturday and hands were great :) The emu lotion you see on my sewing machine (hmm I know not an ideal place to have it!!) my dear sis found this in The Warehouse in Oamaru - at a bargin price - and it is excellent - its called Emu Oil Cream by Enya Skincare.

Have started back on some small handwork projects - here are a couple of felt xmas decorations that I'm trying to complete...
It is scary to think how fast Christmas is approaching, and my christmas cards have yet to be written, the shopping list to be thought of and created, let alone finish all the UFO's that are intended christmas gifts....

Hugs to all

Your recoveery is awesome - glad to hear that you are gradually getting back into some crafty things. Don't worry I haven't made a start on Christmas yet either! Love the journal.

Your hands are looking so much better. It's really scary looking at the difference in the stitching quality! I suppose the student has got to learn somehow....

Your hands are looking good, thats great news.
I'll have to look out for Emu cream next time we're around, though I still have plenty of Lucas' Pawpaw! I use that for everything.

This time next year I'll be in Timaru! :-) :-) :-)
